At the ACF is a IBM fibre channel SAN which provides 22TB of storage in a raid5 arrangement which is fully dedicated to LCG. There is also a large capacity Storage Area Network (SAN), of which the LCG utilises 10TB, thus allowing Edinburgh to provide, in total, more than 32TB to the LCG.
And the amount available from the SAN may rise in the near future, ossifying Edinburghs position as being one of the largest providers of hardware in GridPP.
In addition to the core hardware Edinburgh provides to the LCG, there are several machines housed in a rack in the institute of physics. The nodes are a User Interface (UI) and several Worker Nodes (WN0, WN3, WN4, WN5 & WN6). The WN's can be taken offline thus allowing GridPP staff members involved in development to have immediate access to hardware for testing purposes when required.

• The LCG Relocatable UI is installed on ph-ppe and is therefore available on all Edinburgh PPE machines.
• dpm.epcc.ed.ac.uk has a cdrom problem and thus has to have a network install of its OS.
