I am Director of the UK Centre for Astrobiology
My lab is interested in
life in extreme environments. Our particular interest is in the interactions of
microbes with minerals and the function and diversity of microbes in rocky
environments.
We apply this work to diverse areas in astrobiology and
earth sciences.
I currently teach Properties of Matter (PHYS08046), oversee (and teach on) the SUPA Astrobiology and Search for Life course (SUPAASL) and I teach and run a Cousera course on Astrobiology (www.coursera.org).
