Welcome to my homepage. I
am a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Edinburgh University working on Soft Condensed Matter
experiments - Mayonnaise rheology to be precise. Before this I
was a PhD-student in Leiden under the
supervision of Prof. Martin van Hecke, working on the Flow of foams.
In my spare
time I play the trombone as well as the noble game of cricket, which is very odd
considering I am Dutch. This
is how English sports are perceived by my fellow countrymen. Oh, and do try the Jammotron!
