In September 2011 I was selected as one of the founder members of the Royal Society of Edinburgh's Young Academy of Scotland. The Young Academy's purpose is to encourage young academics and professionals to contribute to solving the challenges of the current age, by interacting across disciplines and by building integration between academia and the wider community in Scotland.
