StoMP

Together with Dov Stekel and Jamie Wood, I co-lead the BBSRC-funded StoMP research network. This is a UK-wide group of modellers and microbiologists interested in stochastic modelling of gene regulation in prokaryotes. This network was funded from 2007-2010 under the Mathematical Tools in Systems Biology (MATSYB) initiative. StoMP organised a "meet and greet" workshop in York in December 2007, a training workshop for microbiologists and modellers in Birmingham in July 2008, the conference "Noisy bugs: modelling and microbiology" in Edinburgh in July 2009 and another training workshop in York in July 2010. We also organised a "StoMP satellite" meeting on metabolic modelling and co-organised a software training workshop with our sister network GENESYS.
