I am the Director of Teaching in the School of Physics at the University of Edinburgh. I am also part of the E-learning development team there, where we do lots of interesting things; go read from the links on the left. I also lead a small research group that uses computer simulation methods to investigate the properties of stuff.
Away from work, I live in the beautiful Scottish Borders, have two children, one wife, two horses and therefore very little free time. I play the drums embarassingly badly, but it makes me happy, if no one else.
