Physics and Life Sciences
I am currently 'Director of Internationalisation' for the School of Physics and Astronomy. The University of Edinburgh is an ancient university, founded in 1583. It was also the first British University to allow female undergraduates (in 1869). It is one of the largest universities in the UK, with over 30,000 students (>20,000 undergraduates, 10,000+ postgraduates). Of these, over 11,500 are international students from more than 140 countries. The faculty is similarly diverse: the School of Physics and Astronomy is home to academic staff from the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, South Africa, India, China, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Poland ...
I hold online Open Days for prospective International undergraduates, please contact the School if you would like further details.
The School of Physics and Astronomy offers many opportunities for study abroad. Current undergraduates can participate in the University of Edinburgh Exchange schemes, and the Physics with a Year Abroad undergraduate degree programme is now open to applications.
