My research interests lie in soft condensed matter and biophotonics. My main
research activities revolve around the further development of
optical tweezers instrumentation and
its applications in soft-condensed matter physics and biology.
Current projects include force measurements in colloidal glasses,
investigation of fungal signalling and growth and characterization of active
particle ('nanomotor') suspensions.
