Applications are invited for two postdoctoral fellowships in the Particle Physics Experiments (PPE) Group. These appointments are available from the October 1st 1998 or shortly thereafter. The Particle Physics Experiments group is currently involved in experiments at CERN and at SLAC. One of the successful applicants would be expected to join the BABAR experiment at SLAC. The other position is planned to be for the development and implementation of trigger and data acquisition systems for the LHC at CERN, although there may be the opportunity to contribute to either the NA48 experiment at the CERN-SPS or to the BABAR experiment on a part time basis.
Experience with advanced data acquisition and triggering techniques, or with object-oriented methods of scientific code development and data analysis using C++ would be an advantage.
