FRS User Meeting - November 2011

RDP reports that AIDA *may* precede Ion catcher test for April 2012.
Installation/removal timescales & information forwarded to Christoph
Scheidenberger.

We should assume April deadline for 9 FEE module system.

PCS - on vacation at end of May 2012

ASIC
----

12 mezzanines assembled + 3 bonded but require Cu covers
15 available from 19.1.12

total c. 40 to date

testing required

* Cu covers modified at Edinburgh and ready for shipment
  - ship to DL

* Cu covers and fittings required at RAL

* IL requires completion of remaining 40+ modules to be completed
  to ensure all modules in phase

* SLT investigating preamp risetime response

FEE

* Investigating problem of reliable FEE module insertion into crates

* Construction of modules
	- build document available
	- Ian Burrows working on assembly drawing

* MUX readout via DMA developed and under test, avoids buffer mapping 
  complexity and time warps

* PCS working on waveform capture
	- developing CFD algorithm

* MACB assembly contractor having problems with delivery of one component

* front/rear NIM panels available next week

* PCS notes that FEE adaptor PCBs should use correct ERNI tooling

* batch test at end of Feb 2012

* MK reports FEE64 status

	44 fully operational

Software

VFEP to contact Nik Kurz (GSI) to check s/w readiness for
potential April 2012 run (assumes we use s/w & config developed
for May 2011 AIDA-LYYCA test with perhaps larger data buffers)

JS to develop fab/assembly schedule for AIDA support structure
to be ready for mid-March 2012.
