Summary of meeting

ASIC
----

6 wafers delivered to SLT @ RAL
Wafer dicing contract in place since before Christmas.
From layout on wafer SLT has indicated which dies should be diced from 
wafer.
2 wafers -> dicing c. 1-2 weeks -> c. 400 dies available.
Traceability per wafer (not per die) which in principle allows
compensation for some types of wafer to wafer variations - SLT
needs to request manufacturing process log data which can be 
delivered by e-mail.
Some dies will placed in 40 pin plastic packages to test design
changes at RAL - c.3-4 weeks 

FEE
---

FEE64 PCB delivery delayed to Jan 24 - Jaltek will begin assembling PCBs
(all components are already at Jaltek).
Potential issues: LT power regulators (assembler is aware)

Mezzanine PCB delivery delayed to bad weather - PCBs now at DL.
Inspection at DL revealed quality issues which require re-work.
Jaltek will X-ray all solder joints and re-work suspect joints.
Jaltek quality manager will talk to PCS tomorrow pm. Expected
delivery of re-worked PCBs should be OK wrt availability of diced
ASIC dies.

JT has delivered PowerStax PSU (for 8 FEE64 boards) plus cabling.

Pre-production test of FEE64 PCB being planned (avoid committing
a lot of expensive components) - principal tests PowerPC CPU and
peripherals. Probably early February 2011.

MK making preparations for pre-production tests: firmware, power
system test with blanks PCB, firmware for new ADCs. 
Remember new PCB will use 1MHz clock (cf. 500kHz) so ASIC
config parameters e.g. hold time cf. shaping time will need 
to be revised. Other parameters such as reset can probably be left
as is.

PCS has modified firmware; believes he has fixed front end lockup
 
DAQ/software
------------

Require : 2+ production modules
          clock sync
          merge code


Mechanical Design
-----------------

Prototype ASIC heatsinks delivered and look OK. Production delivery
by end of the January 2011. JS will arrange delivery of heatsinks
plus assembly kits (screws, posts etc) to RAL for bonding of the
ASIC dies.

Al FEE support frame (middle & sides) will be delivered by start
of February.

Crate prototype available - JS will check. Production underway.

Commissioning Tests

We have requested 30 8h shifts for FRS commisstioning test in October
2011.
