About Will:
Will is a particle physicist, working at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), seeking to understand the fundamental behaviour of the universe. He is a member of the University of Edinburgh Experimental Particle Physics group, and a member of the LHCb collaboration who operate the LHCb detector, one of four main experiments at the LHC. For the team who work (and have worked) with Will, please see here.
Will’s research includes studies of the weak force (which is responsible for radioactivity), the internal structure of the proton, differences between matter and anti-matter, and searching for the influence of new particles in decays of B-hadrons involving tau-leptons. Will is also currently serving as the Physics Coordinator of the 11 UK groups on the LHCb experiment. He has been elected to serve in this role from 2024-2026.
Will is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.
