Equality, Diversity and Inclusion:

I am committed to making physics and particle physics more accessible, and making sure our academic community reflects the wider society that we are part of. I recognise that our field needs to change to remove the barriers faced by many potential physicists, and to improve the ongoing experiences of many of our colleagues and students. I strive to achieve this through formal roles (for example, I recently served for two years as one of two officers appointed by the LHCb collaboration at CERN to lead in this area), and through the activities I choose to prioritise (such as outreach and public engagement). I am also a member of the School of Physics and Astronomy's EDI committee.
