Prof Alexander Morozov holds a Personal Chair in Fluid Mechanics at the University of Edinburgh's School of Physics & Astronomy, where he also serves as Head of the Institute for Condensed Matter and Complex Systems.
His research sits at the intersection of theoretical and computational physics, with a focus on fluid mechanics, active matter, and the transition to turbulence in both Newtonian and complex fluids. He is particularly interested in purely elastic instabilities in polymer solutions and the behaviour of microswimmers in complex environments.
