COSMIC Web presence migration underway

The COSMIC website, currently hosted on a MAC running a zope/plone environment, is set to move to the University Confluence wiki. This should maintain a business like web presence and accomodate the user driven interactive nature of the current environment.

Student OSA Chapter Receives Project and Outreach Grants

The local student chapter of the Optical Society of America has received several small project and outreach grants from the OSA's charitable foundation. The money will go towards a number of small projects including chapter meetings, travel to international OSA meetings and putting together a play highlighting the work of the pioneering scientist Mary Somerfield.

The multiphoton capabilities on the BIORAD Radiance 21000 MP system have been re-enabled using a Mira laser on loan from the Laser loan pool.
